Amazing time swimming in the sea with the horses, something I never thought I'd say! Everyone was so friendly and we really felt welcome and comfortable even though Im not a confident rider. Would definitely recommend for anyone whatever their riding capabilities.
I did the Riding for Riders Moorland Hack and it was definitely one of the coolest things I've ever done! My family and I were visiting from the US and on a private guided tour of Cornwall. I'm a long-time (unfortunately infrequent) rider and it's been a dream of mine to do a proper hack as 99% of the time I ride I do it in an arena. After finding the website online, knew I had to take up the opportunity. We got to the barn about 15 minutes late as the tour guide lost track of time. Despite knowing the timing of the reservation for weeks prior, the tour guide also decided we couldn't ride longer than 2 hours as he needed to get home on time (it was originally supposed to be a 3 hour hack). Everyone at the barn took this last minute change of plans in stride and were exceedingly warm and friendly from the moment I got out of the van. We did a quick lesson on horsemanship in the round pen and then headed out to an iron age fort in the country side. Chris is very knowledgable on the area and pointed out some of the cooler hidden historical points around. We did a bit of cantering through the fields up to the hill and then climbed on top of the hill itself. It was an absolutely stunning destination where you could see both sides of the coast and St. Michael's mount at once! When we got back down, we realized we did not have a lot of time left before we were supposed to be back at the barn so we hurried back. About halfway there the tour guide called Chris to say he had forgotten me and was a half hour down the rode on the way back to our hotel in Newquay! He asked Chris if he would drive me about halfway to him. This was absolutely not something he needed to do, yet Chris did not hesitate to go 15+ minutes out of his way during rush hour to get me to the meeting point. Everyone at the barn truly went above and beyond and my only regret is that I didn't get to stay for a longer ride. I definitely recommend this facility and the riding for riders program for any equestrians looking for a great way to see Cornwall!
Wow! Have spent the best time with Chris and the wonderful Jolly on the beach on the aptly named Hellcat ride. The absolute highlight of my holiday! As a keen rider I was prepared to be disappointed but couldnt have been more wrong. These are happy, fit horses that thoroughly enjoy what is asked of them. Mount's Bay is huge and allows plenty of space to really put the horses through their paces. Although I only booked the Hellcat I couldn't resist hanging around to see the horses and their riders swimming at high tide. It was magical and I will be back to have a go myself, possibly in the yurt for a real treat. It is clear that Chris and the team are passionate about what they do it was a massive privelage to spend time with them. Thank you, we need more riding opportunities like this!

The horses were gorgeous, Shel, Chris and their team made us welcome & it was great getting to know our horses before leaving the yard.
We changed horses in the sea, surfed holding on to them and the weather was glorious, haven't stopped smiling. THANKS ALL.
Just got back from an uplifting sea swimming session with the fabulous team of Chris, Shel and Niamph. Felt really welcomed by the guys, and was bowled over by their fantastic combination of professionalism and friendliness. They have a lovely relationship with the horses, which creates an environment of trust and confidence from the start. Jolly, JuJu and James (the horses) gave us a really special and memorable experience which will stay with me for a long time. Felt really chilled and relaxed on the ride pack to the stables. What a totally wonderful and unique experience. Shel and Chris and Elise and Hannah and the horses are just the most welcoming, relaxed, experienced and passionate team. I was nervous before I went but felt instantly at ease and that I belonged there, something I haven’t felt in years, if ever. I was looked after whilst feeling carefree and swimming with both the horses and the people felt like the stuff of dreams, a whole other world of sensation and almost superhuman ability. A very, very special day that I will never forget. Thank you all
